Gone In 72 Hours
By Gooch | July 16, 2007
I’m sure you’ve been wondering what happened to me. Well the past week has been pretty damn stressful. I was seriously stressed out. From Monday until Thursday was basically a low point in my life.
And then Friday happened . . .
Friday started out like any other day. I went to work. Had a lot to do and started doing it. Well, eventually I was asked to be on the phones, and well that frustrated me to no end. I’m thinking we have 300 emails and we’re close to our 24 hour SLA for creating a ticket from the emails. Well I eventually get frustrated enough that I’m like freaking out. Well next thing, one of the bosses comes over and asks me to jump in. He then says how I “don’t have much time at this desk” . . . Huh? He then says the words that changed the week like that.
“You’re moving over to (second level helpdesk group) next Monday”
That one sentence took weeks of stress off my shoulders. I have been processing emails for 2 years straight at this place and thought I would never move even though I’ve been told I’m one of the smartest people in Level 1.
Needless to say, the rest of Friday was cake.
This weekend, I took Jo on a surprise road trip to Hersheypark. This was my first time here and we had a BLAST!!! You can see pictures here. We also stayed out there overnight and had a nice lunch at Cracker Barrel. One thing I have to say though is that Pennsylvania roads really suck.
All in all, the last 72 hours have made a huge difference with things.
