The Dreaded S Word

Yeah I know it’s that time of year for it but I still hate it. All it does is create a mess and make you change your plans.
It is snow.
Yeah I know I bitch about it every year and hell this year I don’t even have to shovel it, but I still hate the stuff. This weekend we’re forecast for 6-10″ of it in NYC. Now while it’s not a whole lot, it’s enough to screw things up. Now everyone will rush to do whatever they have to do tonight (like I invariably will) to avoid the mess that starts tomorrow afternoon. I still have some shopping to do both for Christmas dinner and for gifts. I will now have to see how to get things done before the mess. I’m not above going out in it, but the less idiots on the road I have to deal with, the better. So what I could have leisurely done over the course of the weekend will now have to be squeezed into at most 24 hours. Blah!
